• Location: Telangana (zonal‑level posts in the Directorate of Economics & Statistics)

• Reservation: 95 % local reservation for zonal posts; no reservation for candidates from other states

Eligibility

Qualification	Conditions
Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics as a main subject	Must be obtained by 28 October 2026
Bachelor’s Degree with Mathematics as a main subject and Statistics as a paper in at least one year
Bachelor’s Degree with Economics as a main subject and Statistics as a paper in at least one year
Bachelor’s Degree with Commerce as a main subject and Statistics as a paper in at least one year
Bachelor’s Degree with Computer Science as a main subject and Statistics as a paper in at least one year
Distance‑education degrees	Must be recognised by the relevant statutory authorities

Age Limit: 18 – 44 years (as on 1 July 2026). Relaxation applicable to eligible categories.

Pay Scale

• Rs. 36,750 to Rs. 1,06,990 (as per official notification)

Application Fees

• All applicants from Central or State Government departments, PSUs, corporations, and other government‑sector organisations must pay the prescribed examination fee. Check the official portal for the exact amount.

Selection Process

1. Objective‑type written examination (Computer‑Based Recruitment Test or OMR‑based offline exam – mode to be notified by TGPSC).
2. Marks obtained in the exam will determine selection.
