• Posts: 21 Head Constable (Motor Mechanic)
• Pay Level: 4 (₹25,500 – ₹81,100)
• Reservation: 10 % of total vacancies reserved for eligible ex‑servicemen (included in the 21 posts)
• Age Limit: 18 – 25 years (as of 27 Oct 2026)
• Application Period: 28 Sep 2026 – 27 Oct 2026

Eligibility

• Gender: Male candidates only
• Educational Qualification: 12th pass
• Technical Qualification:
  • Motor Mechanic Certificate plus 3 years of practical experience in a reputed workshop or
  • Three‑year Diploma in Automobile Engineering
• Physical & Medical Standards: Must satisfy the notified standards
• Reservation/Relaxation: Candidates claiming reservation or age relaxation must provide the required certificates in the prescribed format

Selection Process

1. Phase I – Physical Tests
   • Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
   • Physical Standard Test (PST)
2. Phase II – Verification & Written Exam
   • Verification of original documents
   • Written examination
3. Phase III – Practical Skill Test
   • Practical skill assessment
   • Merit list preparation
4. Phase IV – Detailed Medical Examination (DME)

Post‑Appointment Benefits

• Pay under Level 4 of the 7th Central Pay Commission
• Allowances: Dearness Allowance, Ration Money Allowance, Special Compensatory Allowance (for specified border areas), House Rent Allowance (free accommodation), Transport Allowance, Leave Travel Concession, free medical facilities, and other admissible allowances
• Pension Scheme: Choice between New Pension Scheme (NPS) and Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) as per ITBPF rules
