Vacancies: 17,735 Assistant Teacher (Graduate Pay Scale/TGT) posts in government‑aided secondary schools across Uttar Pradesh

• Boys’ schools: 16,193 posts
• Girls’ schools: 1,542 posts
• 17 subjects (Hindi, English, Science, Social Science, etc.)

Eligibility

• Post: Assistant Teacher (Graduate Pay Scale/TGT) for Classes 6 to 10
• Academic Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks in the relevant subject or
  • Postgraduate degree with at least 45% marks in the relevant subject
• Teacher‑Training Qualification: NCTE‑recognized B.Ed. (or equivalent) or other professional training as specified
• Teacher Eligibility Test (TET): Qualified for upper‑primary level (Classes 6‑8) by the Government of Uttar Pradesh or Government of India
• Age: Minimum 21 years as on 1 July 2026; maximum 62 years (superannuation age)
• Reservation: General, SC, ST, OBC, and EWS categories as per subject‑wise annexure

1. One‑Time Registration (OTR) on the official website: upessc.up.gov.in
2. Pay examination fee as per the fee structure in the notification
3. Submit application online before the deadline
4. Correction deadline: 26 November 2026 (subject to restrictions in the advertisement)
